  1. I encourage you to make more videos like this. A great long montage of a player’s highlights through junior to pro. Like Quinn Hughes or Heiskanen or Dahlin. Or any other forwards as well. Because I personally enjoyed watching this highlight reel over and over again.

  2. Knew this guy was destined for greatness from the first time I seen him play in Brooks for the Bandits. He will be a top defenceman in the NHL for years maybe even decades to come. Thanks for the memories

  3. Him and Quinn Hughes are both absolute studs. These guy's ability to jump up in a play is amazing. They both arguably could have been drafted 1st overall. Miro is excellent too and Dahlin was in Quinn's class so it's hard to say. So many great young Defencemen coming into the league

  4. This guy literally is like a crosby all arround player with freaking elite mcdavid speed for a d-man, watching this guy gives me goosebumps, he does everything, he's good defensively and throws the body, posseses mackinnon/mcdavid speed both stickhandling and skating, and a freaking crazy elite skating, with insane both slap and snap/wrist shot. There is nothing this guy can't freaking do, holy moly

  5. Hughes, fox and makar are going to be generational caliber defenseman for a loooooong time. All 3 are already nearly the same in points!

  6. 2021……makar is going to win his first cup and the aves 3rd. 20 years this playoffs…..AND AFTER 22 YEARS RAYMOND BOURQUE!!!!! 20 years ago we last won the cup. 20 years ago we last made the finals. AND AFTER 20 YEARS COLORADO AVALANCHE!!!! ITS OUR YEAR!!! ALL HAIL CALE!!!

  7. This guys skill is comparable to a brian surgeon doing ballet while preforming surgery with a butter knife. He's the new face of hockey and watching him play is awesome.

  8. You talk to anybody in hockey about skating and using your edges and the first person they talk about is Sydney Crosby. I now put Makar in that Elite level skating tier. There are very few people who skate as smoothly as Makar does. Makar is one of those five tool players that is dangerous anywhere on the ice. He does things I haven't seen any defensemen do ever. You see how he shakes guys at the blue line, goes to a bird step and changes the angle of his shot to make sure it gets on net. He's a master of time and space to boot.

As a guy who played defense my entire hockey career, when I saw him in college, I started fashioning my game after his. You have no idea the level of detail in his game once you start trying to emulate it. He's just on a completely different level.

  9. Not just Makar, the acquisition of Gerard and the two Johnson and Toews stepping up his game Makar has great d to line up with. Sakic really learned a lot from LaCroix.

  10. He is the reason I bought a season ticket, despite not being able to afford it and living five hours from Denver. Mackinnon, Landeskog, Rantanen, Kadri and Nichushkin are just icing (pun intended) on the cake. You only see talent like this once in a lifetime. I don't want to miss a single point, let alone his minutes as stellar defensemen. He is the Michael Jordan of the NHL. He does things you just can't do, UNLESS you are Cale. All Hail Cale!

  11. To 'Hockey Moments' production:

Thank you for this video. Well done! Your documentary of Makar's path to the NHL is amazing!!

    I love this video! 👍👍

  12. Love the use of Denver Bronco legend, Ryan Harris in this video. Beyond that, yeah, how prophetic… Makar>Dahlin… it's not even close.

  13. After the cup, I can't stop watching videos on him… It really feels like we're witnessing history unfolds like in the Lidstrom years. People are saying McDavid could be one the best player ever, Makar could be right up there as well, and it's exciting to watch those players evolve

  14. Hits skating is next level. How he can dance and change direction on the blue line is truly amazing.

  15. Saw him during my college years at UMass, the best athlete I’ve ever seen in person
