CONNOR HELLEBUYCK. Jets Beat Predators 4-3 (Game Recap + Highlights)

The Winnipeg Jets and the Nashville Predators faced off in a very weird game. The Predators carried play for the majority of the game, but Connor Hellebuyck stood on his head and bailed the Jets out…

  1. A lot of those shots that Nashville had were the results of them constantly getting a power play, good thing Nashville horrible at the PowerPlay but that’s the reason why they outshot the Jets so much the refs were really pathetic, Nashville is the type of team that they’re really good at face-offs and they’re defence likes to pinch to pin teams in while taking shots all over the place not necessarily high danger

  2. It’s hard to pinpoint 10 games this year in which turn the TV off and say “wow, I feel good about that game” this team doesn’t feel like a 100+ point team. But I guess when you take a 120 point Goalie and pair him with a 80 point team you still get results.

  3. Have faith, we got the 2 points. Bones didn't want 0 points, he's a coach we are all fans..

  4. A Martian would think that the Jets lost the game from that commentary. This is sports. Sometimes you win games you don't deserve to win and sometimes the opposite. It keeps things interesting, The fact is that the Jets won a crucial game due to some individual efforts, like Hellebuyck's, Conor's, etc. Don't knock it. Next game the Jets might outshoot the opposition 50-20 and lose. Then you'll be happy.

  5. Pionk is slow and is always talking small penalties. Better not be in a jets uniform next year.

  6. I normally agree with your takes but not today, perfetti and ehlers were playing a lot in the second period and generated nothing, bones benched them because they were not creating chances for shots and offence.

The two goals in the third by Nashville, one was quite lucky and the other was just a great shot. The jets were miles better in the third overall than the previous period and generated more chances than they did in the second.

No- Ehlers and Perfetti had tough games, and bones made a good call taking them off, and thanks to that, we got two points.

  7. Bone's plan to weather the storm worked like a charm. Stanley, was fine, Pionk just needs confidence and respect. 27 might need to spend some time with Barron, and 91 likely will be in the press box pretty shortly.

  8. I dont get everyone's concern. That was one of the most entertaining games this year. We didn't get last change so we weren't getting matchups. Preds game is run and gun and in their rink with last changed we play their game and came out on top

  9. Jets got the win, but they cannot ask Hellybuyck to stand in his head and make 45 saves every game to bail them out. Pionk, again, was terrible. Bones putting Scheifele and Connor together in the third was terrible. The teams's 5-on-5 play was terrible.

I eapecially enjoyed seeing Connor glide through the neutral zone on the tying goal, instead of skating hard to at least try to backcheck. Yeah he scored the winner, in 3-on-3. There is no 3-on-3 in the playoffs. Connor's goal scoring is not enough to cancel out his ineffectiveness at 5-on-5 and lazy defense.

The Jets play this way against Colorado in the first round, the series will be over in 4.

  10. It was a horrible effort by the team. Ehlers is a straight up liability, time he was on the fourth line. Less toi and the guys he coughs up the puck to won't ge as gifted offensively. Pionk might be the only Jet hurting the team more than Ehlers just not playing well at all
