  1. Waited too long to give UPL more starts ahead of Levi/Comrie, certain big performers last year didn’t start catching fire until late in the season, the poor faceoff stats and lack of physical play continues to dog them, the PP is streaky as it gets, so is the PK, Samuelsson going out again didn’t help despite Bryson returning to 2021-22 form (last year was a big step back for him) and lastly too many games were like the recent Detroit one: important contest but the team started off like they were unprepared and unemotional.

Some have suggested going after Brind’Amour as his Carolina deal’s up after this season; if that’s in any possible, go for it but changes definitely have to happen behind Granato, if not to his status.

Adding someone like Erik Johnson didn’t move the needle much. Okposo’s gone, certain others adding less than he did need to be replaced and not just by an Amerk; need to find someone like Skinner who can pot 25 goals, but also give us some defense and not make blind turnover passes so often.

  2. My extreme desire to see Matthews in a Kachina sweater is praying really hard that the Yotes and Pheonix get it figured out. In other news, still three players on this board wear that beautiful Lightning Bolt on their sweater and no other team has more than one (I see Makar winning two categories). The Captain Steven Stamkos is one goal away from 40 after a Hatty last night. Boston better hope something extreme happens and they don't get Tampa round one. LETS GO BOLTS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. As a coyotes fan, i don't think i will ever not be pissed at the coyotes ownership group(s). The crap they've put this fan base through (yes there are more than 5 of us. Haha funny joke) is unacceptable. Even if they pull off this arena plan, they will need to do a lot more to get me to trust their commitment to desert hockey. I don't understand why they waited so long to make the move to the current plan. Seems like procrastination to me

  4. I think the bored of Governor's would approve the relocation of Coyotes to salt lake city. The Coyotes have had problems since moving to Arizona still remember jim ballsille trting to buy the Coyotes nhl said no.

  5. First ever season watching Hockey was the 06 play offs, saw the Sabres vs the Canes and was sure the Sabres would win it all, little did I know they'd actually never come close again 18 years later.

  6. My wife and I started dating in the summer of 2011. I jokingly remind her that she's the reason the Sabres can't make the playoffs. She has less than zero interest in sports, so she doesn't really care about the drought.

  7. Food for thought about Sabres. The last time Terry Pegula (owner/team president) addressed the media about the Sabres and not just release a statement was OVER 4 YEARS AGO!! Before the pandemic! If he cant even bother to care and answer some truly tough questions, why should the fans care and give $$ to support the team/him.

  8. Another podcast leaked that ovi's stick was discontinued, and I wonder if that's actually physical deferent or mental strain he overcame let alone staying elite at that age

  9. Crazy fact about the Oilers win tonight:
Under Kris Knoblauch, Edmonton is now THIRTY games above .500 (NHL .500, but still).
From "well, their season is pretty much done" to "they're the LAST team anyone wants to see in the playoffs", the Oilers are otherworldly right now.
No McDavid, and they humbled the defending champs (who will still make the playoffs).
