Anybody who remembers Ted Lindsay knows how ironic it is that Teddy would be mentioned in the same conversation as Matthews, McDavid, Kucherov or MacKinnon.
70 goals is insane, and since Marner went out Matthews has been incredible. However, McDavid/Kucherov/McKinnon still had better seasons – the gap narrowed but Matthews is still slightly below that group

No. Factually 100 assists in a season is more outstanding, and it's not even close. Only been done by Gretzky, Lemieux, Orr. THATS IT!! Way too many players have scored 70 goals. Sorry
Also, the NHL player poll literally just came out, and McDavid was overwhelming voted the best player in the game it was a LANDSLIDE. Matthews didn't even make top 5. Once again… Sorry.
