In 2022 the playoffs started a month after he was activated off LTIR. He played 9 regular season games (counting against the cap) and they missed the playoffs. That instance was LTIR working exactly as intended and exactly how fans claim they want it to work. And they missed the playoffs. What is the issue with that year?

I’m a casual fan when it comes to other teams. Can anyone explain what’s going on with this?

On the plus side, your Blues will have an additional few million fans rooting for y’all to end Vegas. 😊

It’s actually up to some combination of Minny, Colorado, Chicago and Anaheim to end it.

In the off-season , the NHL board of governors voted on a proposal for the salary cap to include the playoffs. Only two teams voted in favour. The Blues were one, but I can’t recall the other. I’m guessing it wasn’t Vegas.

  7. Or – and hear me out – they’re taking full advantage of the rules. The Blues could do the same, but Army isn’t exactly setting the Blues for success.

One month before trade deadline seems to be a bad time for Stone to be playing.
