Florida pitched three shutouts against the Senators; Tuesday it was Anthony Stolarz with 25 saves for his second SO of the season.
The Panthers took a 2-0 lead off goals from Anton Lundell and Nick Cousins midway through the first — and that was it for the scoring.
Florida is now 3 points back of Boston for first in the Atlantic with three to play.
The Panthers welcome the Columbus Blue Jackets to Sunrise on Thursday.
