I hope they start heating up in the right time. The playoffs
Jets now have won their last 5 in a row, and now play Colorado for 2nd place
on Saturday, and should be a barn burner of a game. The Jets have beaten them
the last 2 times they've played. Love to see the Jets win that game and lock up
2nd place. For those that say the Jets are a Fraud — think again. Their for real.(GJG)
It blows my mind they are still switching lines in April. Is Bowness not getting input from Arniel or Lauer? Love the guy but Bowness has to go next season.
I believe that even though line combos can be important, they are secondary to the team committing to play the Bones system. If I recall correctly, the top line of 27, 55, and 13 was hot when the system was being adhered to for that 30 game run of 3 goals or less.
It’s not a line up problem at the core, it’s a commitment issue. Bones system requires an “all out” mindset which is not easy to sustain without serious motivation. At this point, the cup should be all the motivation they need.
Discipline should be high on the focus list for the entire run. Fewer penalties and less tolerance for opponent control and/or shot quality for 3 periods is the Jets brand. Jet's do offer moments of Razzle Dazzle, but usually only after a good defensive move.
