It's a win-win. Ottawa wins value wise and Carolina gets more depth and taxi-squad members with the Covid situation. The Sens desperately need scoring so I like reacquiring him. Hes a speedy veteran too. I think Paquette is a good fit for the Canes. He played awful in Ottawa but I dont think he really found his role. He probably put too much on himself to help score. With Carolina, he can focus on being a pest and getting under other players' skin while not being relied upon to carry the team.
Honestly pumped as a Sens fan to have Dzingel back, Paquette was garbage with us. Feel bad for Galchenyuk though, feels like everyones giving up on him.
Good trade for both teams. Dzingle never quite got things going in Carolina so I hope he can find success where he's been successful before. Looking forward to what Paquette and Galchenyuk can do in Carolina!
Dzingel was stupid. He should have taken the 5 years and 25 million when Ottawa offered it. Carolina wanted rid of him since they signed him.

Good deal for both teams. Dzingel was the odd-man out due to major rebound seasons from Niederreiter and Trocheck, as well as continued progression from Foegele and Necas. Paquette is exactly what we needed on the 4th line. Martinook's a good bottom-6er, but he isn't a center. Paquette is.

I'm gonna miss fellow Jeeper Zinger but feel the Canes need someone like Paquette to get to the next level. Up till this point other teams take runs at the Canes star players without answering to them. Benn ran Ned (goalie) and the Canes did nothing was done in the last game. Last year in the playoffs against the Boston refs……oops Bruins, they let Krugg rip the helmet off of their captains head (right in front of ref- no call) and did nothing. Aho gets his helmet raked off his head in the dot (Both refs watching -no call) and no Cane on the ice does anything. Now teams will have to answer.
