Can someone please explain to Neal what a "straw man" argument is. To wit, that is making an unrealistic or fake argument of the other side of the debate then taking the opposing view. Basically, arguing against a non entity. I am completely tired of his overwrought bombastic insults. No one is saying "if we don't make the playoffs fire Yzerman" or there is "zero" chance we make the playoffs. He then argues the other side to make himself look good. Most are saying that Stevie Y's track record with free agent signings has been highly suspect. Period. Holl, Copp, Chariot, Ghost, all either busts or BUSTS. This is a fair criticism. Most are saying that we are likely not going to make the playoffs and really don't deserve it if you look at our goaltending, defense, and coaching. Period. How about you engage the fanbase as if we are knowledgable and not complete morons…and stop yelling at us.
How many so called must wins have we had and the wings lose. U think these 3 games will be any diffrent? They will pick.up 1 win out of these next 3. Maybe and overtime game where they lose. There are 4 teams with 85 points. Detroit, by mathematics, MUST win the last 4 games. And that includes back to back home and home games against a surging Montreal. Neal, calm down and do math. 23% chance at best.

Maybe next season we should just play for a point it would be easier than trying to get two then the players won't have to try so hard . Very unlucky against the Penguins a point is still better than a loss if we miss out i can't complain what they did out there but i do expect a lot more next season Raymond and Larkin have gone next level and things can only get better .
