The NY Islanders May Be Looking to Sign a Little Known Defenseman for 2024-25
Apologies if this was already posted. Just heard about it today (searched the sub and didn’t see anything)and was curious as to others thoughts on this
So another Lou overseas signing that will get an unfair shot in the preseason before being cut and then the player moves back to his former country

At this point whatever gets us a Cup lol I’m tired of saying we need to get fast and younger lol whatever now. It’s Lou’s world and I’m just living in it lmao

Our prospect pool is bare, and with little cap space, we will have to be creative to booster our rosters. Looking for European talents is a good way to go.

Last paragraph really nails it:
“Now that this news is circulating, Lamoriello may do what he’s known to do when his business becomes public knowledge and elect to pull out of the (potential) deal altogether.”

They could just be looking at him for the AHL and see how he goes.
Of course, any time you hear about a move like this, my first thought is an agent has told a journalist that Lou is interested, knowing Lou will never confirm nor deny, to make it seem like there is more interest in their client than actually exists.

It’s probably more likely he gets an invite to training camp and then he might go to the AHL or ECHL or something like they did with Zsombor Garát

maybe its an aho replacement if they believe in his transitional game. really want to get players thatll fit roy’s style

“News circulating”. Half of the Islanders fans don’t even know EyesonIsles even exists, let alone the rest of the league.
