I was afraid of this scenario. But that being said, I am extremely proud of the heart and drive that this team has shown. Just incredible performance over the past 10 or so games. That red wings ending, even if they miss the playoffs, will live in infamy. For me at least.
Caps fan here, like your posts. Reality is that it is a coin flip on who gets in. Detroit has the best shot with two games against Montreal. It has been fun to see how everyone felt like when the Caps had a 1 point lead in the race that it didn't matter and when the Pens had a 1 point lead it was a lock they were going to make it and now even though the Pens are behind 3 teams with only 2 games left that they can do it. Can they? Maybe, but probably not. I'm hopeful with Washington but they have a tough road in the next 2 games.
I do think next year be lots different than this year with the pens 🐧 but anything could happen at the end any sports football or hockey or basketball or baseball like I said any sports it's how they play and how the other team plays also! But I still do believe they can make it if they play stay stronger hockey 🏒🥅 and play smart hockey too and like the coach said have fun with it !!

Making the playoffs is such a long shot. My guess is Detroit or Washington takes it. Maybe we beat Nashville but the Islanders almost always have the Pens number.
I've been a Pens fan for almost 50 years (showing my age!) With all due respect they don't deserve to get into the playoffs based on the intense luck they've had in the last 10 games of the season, given how much garbage they spewed during the other 72 games before this point.

Pens’ defense is weak. Even if they get in, will be a quick exit. Not enough defensive skill or depth.
