Bedard is shit. He doesn't go near contact and when he actually needs to make plays,he can't. When he comes down one on one he gets stripped of the puck. He's slow and lumbering and he knows it. He's more of a one timer kinda guy,gets in the sneaky positions and plays that game. If you could just start throwing the body on him he'll never touch the puck
All Bedard needs is to get trained up on some good martial art moves Dylan will flat out die on the punch, all martial artists are small and pack a lethal punch like Jet Li, Bruce Lee or Donny Yun. These low life goons have nothing on the little guy!
Blackhawks need tougher dudes around to protect this kid. Get him a Deslauriers, WiFi, Lucic or the other Foligno. Teams have to understand that you’ll get killed if you get too rough with this kid.

And Gretzky broke most of the records of the NHL. For his first few years they put Semenko on his line whose only job was to destroy anyone who touched Wayne. After awhile they didn't need a tough on the same line, since everyone had learned the lesson, and if they hadn't , the game wouldn't end without the rule breaker being dealt. Blackhawks don't deserve Bedard.

People often forget that in juniors Bedard was a ratty scrappy player at times. As he gets older I think we will see him emerge back into that role.
