  1. As a Rangers fan, I appreciate the drop. Compared to Stars, and the Hurricanes, I wouldn't be all that surprised if we get swept by either of them with our current play.

  2. I like you Hockey Guy but these power rankings are a complete waste of time. One week until the playoffs. We can wait for reality to unfold.

  3. Detroit's the best bet to be 8th, just with the fact they play Montreal.
But I think Washington being 17th and the Flyers in 23rd is weird, given that if the Caps lose to Philly in regulation (and that game against the Rangers was a good sign), they're out of the playoffs.
I know that the Flyers losing 8 in a row didn't help things, but beating two division rivals and still having a snowball's chance should count for something.
If I was Detroit, I'd be playing the Canadiens like they're trying to win the Cup, cause these might as well be playoff games.
The east is just that close.
And Montreal has been playing really well for their record, so I just hope the Wings don't let up or underestimate Montreal.

  4. As I've said since the refs stole 2 points from Washington versus the Canes, the Capitals will miss the playoffs by 1 point. The NHL should issue a formal apology to the Capitals organization for costing them millions in revenue and for tarnishing the records of their players. People's livelihoods should not be subject to such incompetence — at least not without recognition, apology, and commitment to improve.

  5. Panthers and Canucks outside the top 8? Idk about that, I feel like they should be above the Lightning and Oilers respectively. I agree with the rest of the list though.

  6. Tampa & Toronto are both 6-3-1 in their last 10 … Tampa 96 points and Leafs 102 points Leafs 9th and Tampa 7th ??? c’est la vie 🤣

  7. As a Rangers fan I definitely agree with the panic in Rangersville. Whenever we lose a game everyone thinks we're the biggest frauds in hockey. I think the other teams just want it more than us and for the regular season that's fine, but when playoffs come we're gonna need that fire we had throughout most of the regular season if we wanna be a cup contending team.

  8. Anyone matched up against Vegas needs to remember one thing, defending Stanley Cup Champions.

Excellent video as always, looking forward to these playoffs!

  9. The two aspects of Carolina's game that needed improvement going into the playoffs was consistent Goaltending and Scoring Firepower. The maturing of Kochetkov the return of a healthy Andersen and the addition of Martin have given Carolina solid net minding.
The Deadline pickups of Guentzel and Kuznetsov has given them the much needed scoring boost. the only thing concerning me as a Canes fan is their lack of physicality and body crashing. How are they going to react and respond if they are banged off the puck. They are great in the corners and behind the net digging out the puck, but they need to have consistent net front presence. They need an Oak Tree (Phil Esposito type) presence, after all Raleigh is the City of Oaks. Go Canes.

  10. I find it quite interesting that 3 legends of the game, Crosby, Ovi and Kane, are on the teams battling for the last playoff spot, and currently any could take it.

  11. Honestly what am I gonna complain about now. You put my Canes in #1 and now I can't be mad that they're getting overlooked again 🤣🤣🤣. At any rate I'm sure the Rags won't blow their last game of the season so they'll be Pres Trophy winners, and the Isles are welcome back in Raleigh for our home ice. We'll give y'all a nice welcome again, just like last year. Only because you also have an Aho.

  12. Avs fan here. They should have dropped further… primarily because Georgiev has lost confidence in himself and based on facial expressions and body language, it looks like his teammates have lost confidence in him too. And rightly so. You can't win when your goalie is in a shame spiral.
