The Humboldt Broncos took on the Estevan Bruins in their first playoff series since crash that claimed 16 lives last year. Josh Patrician, Bryson Cecconi, Reid Arnold, and Drew Warkentine would each score a goal and take game one. The Broncos beat the Bruins 4-1.
