The league is out of control. I hate Cousins, but these bad calls must stop. Cousins, 100% put himself in a vulnerable position. If he didn't stoop his head three feet off the ice at the height of the dasher to play the puck, this hit would not have happened. Players are constantly putting themselves in a bad way, but the refs call the penalty anyway. It fundamentally changes how the game is played. Go back to hockey basics.
If you play the puck, then you are eligible to get hit. Don't play the puck then any contact is a penalty. When a player puts themselves in a vulnerable position, no head-hit penalty should be called. This isn't the hockey we played.
Hope he is healthy but has a nice long recovery… like four months. Just enough so the rat is not hurting others in the play offs while acting like a coward.
Just saying, everyone laughing at cousins because he went low and got smoked… just Gudbranson did with CBJ when cousins hit him. But no one was freaking out about the guy getting hit going low like that. Double standards to the max, hope Sabres fans have enjoyed yet another year of misery

When you disrespect other players with dirty cheap shots then you have to expect the other players in the league not to see you as a hunted target for the same treatment. Cousins has done this several times recently to unsuspecting players. Like they say there is always someone who is bigger.
