Golden Knights facing a cap crunch after Hanifin contract

The Vegas Golden Knights are adding another hefty contract to their roster, this time with defenseman Noah Hanifin signing on for an eight-year deal worth $7.35 million annually. This move pushes the count to eight players earning $5 million or more next season, with seven of them locked in for multiple years. In total, the Golden Knights will allocate $42.5 million to key players like Jack Eichel, Mark Stone, Alex Pietrangelo, Tomas Hertl, and now Hanifin. #nhlhighlights #hockeyhighlights #hockey #nhl

  1. it isn't fair how teams have to compete with each other when it comes to their area of taxation laws. Canada should just say, 10% flat tax on NHL hockey players just to attract top end talent. Canada's taxes are crazy with income tax, property tax, carbon tax, sales tax. It's over 60% taxes at that rate.
