It's so funny how not a single event or rumor discussed on this channel EVER comes true. One could pretty much determine that if this channel says a player will be traded then he won't. If this channel says a player will resign then he will be gone. Thank you for keeping us informed!

Man players making 10+ mil a year refusing to sign because they want more is disgusting. Fight for your home town or else you are kind of a douche bag.
Analogy:
Brett Hull took a pay cut in 2002 to play for the wings because he wanted to play for a contender. He also offered to take a pay cut in 93' to keep Adam Oates. The owners didn't take it but it shows that players can and will take less if they care more about success than GREED.

Wont beat Boston or Florida
Well…. if they make it to the conference final (would be a reasonable success in the minds of most Leafs fans…), and Mitch is a significant contributor, that's a good reason to keep the core together.
But if they fail in the 1st or 2nd rounds, a Marner trade may be looked at as necessary.

You aren’t trading away a player on a one year contract—a one year no move contract. Even without the no move you aren’t getting much back. Makes more sense to sign and keep a player who is top 10 in points most seasons.
