BREAKING: Buffalo fires Don Granato

  1. I think they should fire someone higher up. They’ve struggled for 20 years, it’s clear that it’s not the coach who is the problem.

  2. Don is a good guy but, the coaching staff were In over their heads and there seemed to be no accountability. He will get paid by Pegula for two mores season due to his extension coming up next season and Adams will have no where to hide if the team misses the playoffs next year.

Granato did a lot of good for the Sabres in their darkest hour amid the Eichel trade and Kreuger coaching shenanigans. I’ll always appreciate what he did for the team in revitalizing a discouraged Dahlin and bringing some life in to an all but dead franchise. However it’s time to move on. Thanks Donny, wish you the best.

I do not follow them as much as I could, but they have young talented players, and a style of play that attracts my interest.

I didn’t even realise he had been with the Sabres for 4 seasons. Is that the longest tenured coach they’ve had since Ruff?

  6. Just relocate this team ffs

Terrible team, players don’t even want to play there

Get the good Granato sibling. By that, I mean Cammi.

  8. The Granato family are legends, but this seemed inevitable. Such an embarrassingly poor season in Buffalo, that change was inevitable. What a pathetic franchise, that has sold so much false hope to that awesome fanbase that even they’ve checked out now

Bring Ruff back! Clearly, the only person who can get the Sabers to the playoffs based on precedent.

Since Lindy Ruff was fired by Buffalo, none of the coaches hired after him have gone on to get another NHL head coaching gig.

    Tough look
