  1. Regardless of how it goes, I think we all gotta remember that a year ago, a meaningful game 82 wasn't even remotely in the conversation. Now 1 season later (With a bunch of setbacks and plain bad luck) we're here and fighting. Like Torts said, they never quit, and last season, they quit and they quit VERY early on in the season.

  2. If they flyers win tonight, Pittsburgh is going to the playoffs.

Get to the off-season and get rid of some of the overdue players on this team.

Couturier, laughton, Atkinson, Johnson, Risto, Stall. Might get something good back for Farabee….

    No #1 C, No #1 D, No #1 G

Not close to a playoff team yet.

  3. Will torts be gone or put in the front office next year? The way he scratched the Captain for the Toronto game was a potential problem.

  4. If I get this right it needs to go like this:
You guys win against Washington and you get the 6th or 7th tie break to pass in front of the Caps i.e. points against Washington for the season.
Then you need Detroit and Pittsburgh to lose.
    Are my maths adding up?
Quite a finish however you slice it.
BTW, Rangers fan here. And I remember 2010 vividly. You guys made it on the last day against my team in a shootout in game 82. And you went to the finals that year with…Peter Laviolette.
    Funny how it goes.
Well, good luck anyway. I have no problem if we meet in the first round. But it will take a miracle I'm afraid for that to happen.

  5. Charlie O asks the best questions, and as a fan I appreciate that. He never tries to stir things up and ask controversial questions, he's to the point and direct. He's a good journalist, and we're lucky that he follows the Flyers.
I love the job that Coach Tortorella did during this season, especially since the beginning of the season losing the starting goaltender and needing to rely on a rookie goalie throughout most of the season. He directed the team to stay focused on each game, one at a time.
The re-build is still happening, but the players on the current roster are proving in many instances that they belong here. If they don't win in regulation tonight, or if they're bumped off due to stats, at least we Flyers fans have seen a competitive team, and that is thanks to their leadership and direction.
