  1. To those doubting Steve Yzerman and his rebuild plan, this wings team last season had 80 points and this one had 91 points. If any wings fan at the start of the season was asked on the last day of the season for a chance at a playoff spot, theyโ€™d take it.

  2. I was cheering for you Detroit. Was really hoping the wings would make it. But it wasn't meant to be this season.

  3. Nice back to back comeback wins again by the Redwings against Montreal and that 3 seconds left in regulation to bring it to OT and to win it too, but all that is for nothing because only minutes later the Caps won their game so they got the final spot. Sad.

  4. Wings shouldnโ€™t have lost 8 in a row and the Flyers shouldnโ€™t have lost 8 in a row either. You canโ€™t blame anyone but yourself when you do that.

  5. The Wings really deserve the playoff spot with how hard they tried! Im so sad they didnโ€™t make it. Time to go cheer on my second favorite team ๐Ÿ˜ข

  6. Well, the red wings fought hard, tried their best, and itโ€™s not easy for them to win back to back as well. Kudos to them.

  7. These were 2 close games against these 2 teams, and the best one won both. The habs don't need the wins so It doesn't really matter much, but anyways it's good to see the habs scoring. Go habs Go.

  8. Capitals make a wish team gets gifted a playoff spot over this electric wings team. Sad day for the sport

  9. Too bad Detroit Dead Things fans. So close but yet so far away. That must sux hey being tied for points and not making it? Oh well, always next year, go have some pizza.

  10. From a Canucks fan I'm kind of gutted not to see Detroit in the playoffs. I have a bit of a soft spot for them (especially since they gave us Hronek and Suter lol), but they have that majestic class about them. Hopefully they get in next season.

  11. They were 9 points above the playoff line with a quarter of the season to go and they blew it. 3 wins in the month of March due to abysmal defense caused by abysmal coaching crippled this team and Washington took advantage like real playoff contenders do. I don't care if they ended with 91 points, this season is a failure and Lalonde better not be back next year if Yzerman wants these issues to remain for next year.

  12. I am wrapping my brain around this evenings events. Flyers score but the goal is waived off because the ref made a whistle boo boo. In a tie game Flyers pull their goalie early, empty net goal to win? Hahaha, insanity.

  13. You can never underestimate Montreal's capacity for CHOKING!!!!!! Two games in a row? did everything they could to help the Red Wings make the playoffs. Too bad so Sad the Caps clinched!

  14. Wings better move up 10 spots in the lottery and draft a steal. Getting tired of the dogshit luck. Philly gets a missed call when they SCORE due to ref error and also thinking back to the egregious missed call on the stick throw a few games ago.

  15. Unfortunate that the Red Wings missed the playoffs for the 8th year in row.

I honestly have hope that Steve Yzerman will put Hockeytown back in action. They'll be back.
