SO many emotions as the Capitals, Flyers and Red Wings battle in the final game of the season to improve their chances of securing the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference
So the wings have 41 wins and caps have 40? The caps have lost 42 games and the wings have lost 41 games? How does that work shouldn’t the wings make the last wildcard spot considering they have more wins and less losses apart from 1 more regular season loss but overall less..
I know it didn't actually go this way, but in my head cannon Torts knew they had gotten eliminated and went ahead and pulled the goalie anyway to eliminate the Penguins with them
The Wings had their chances in the last 7-8 games to stay above the fray. The Wings also had the 2nd spot by more than 10 points at one time to those other teams in the other division. They had their chances. It was truly an exciting and entertaining ending for the Wings to finish the season the way they did. Hoping that the Wings bring in a new coaching staff and bring up some of their top draft picks talent.
I think torts has an ego. He knew Detroit won and decided his Philly team had a better story this year and didn’t want to let the redwings overshadow him.
The Red Wings games were awesome to watch! The looks on their faces and their fans' cheers went those goals went in was something to see! 😊 Detroit, you really were a joy to see!
