Harvest Prep Advances to Division III State Championship vs Ottawa-Glandorf 61-59

It was not #1 Ottawa-Glandorf nor #6 Harvest-Prep’s first trip to Dayton for the Division III Basketball State Tournament. This was Ottawa-Glandorf’s fourth time in a row at the State Tournament, finishing State Runner-Up in 2022 and 2023, and State Finalists in 2021. This was Harvest-Prep’s second trip to Dayton in a row, finishing as a State Finalist in 2023. Needless to say, both teams were hungry for a chance at a State Championship.

This was a special game for the Titans, as their own Colin White was 5 points away from reaching 2,000 career points, which he surpassed in the first quarter.

The Warriors took the lead early in the game claiming a lead of 19-14 at the end of the first. They continued to increase their lead scoring 12 in the second quarter, ending the first half with a lead of 31-21. The Titans continuously took shots but had trouble getting many to fall, only scoring 7 points in the second quarter.
Harvest Prep continued to stretch their lead, scoring 15 in the third quarter, with Ottawa-Glandorf trailing behind scoring 14 points. Despite the closeness in scoring of the third quarter, the Warriors maintained their lead of 46-35 after the third.
Ottawa-Glandorf was far from giving up in the fourth quarter. With their highest scoring quarter of the game, they put up 24 in the fourth quarter, drastically shrinking Harvest Prep’s lead. The Titans were able to close the lead to 1 point, but they weren’t able to finish the final shots of the game that would’ve secured their lead. Harvest Prep eventually won the game with a final score of 61-59, with Ottawa-Glandorf finishing their season 25-3.
Harvest Prep will advance to the State Championship on Sunday in an attempt to win their second State Title in their school’s history.

The leading scorers for Ottawa-Glandorf were Colin White with a game high 32 and Caden Erford with 12.
The leading scorers for Harvest Prep were Adonus Abrams with 26 and Khalil Daniels with 10.
