    The most glaring statistic in this series: Alex Ovechkin has never scored an OTGWG in the Playoffs.

    Also, barring injury, I don't know whether Ivan Mirosnichenko gets in the lineup.

    Rangers lost 2 to the Blue Jackets and needed a last second goal to win against the Jackets. They may beat Washington but no cup.

    This is sketchy imo everyone here seems so sure NYR will win easily, however this reminds me of last year’s Bruins… I still think NYR will win but maybe in 7 after going 2-2 in the first 4 games 🤷‍♂️
    Edit: basically a similar series to WSH vs FLA in 2022 (Florida won the Presidents Trophy but lost 2 of the 1st 3 before pulling it out in Game 6 OT)

    I think the Capitals can win one or two games in the series by getting a lead and slowing the game down. I would be very surprised if they won the series. I would only be slightly surprised if they got swept, because New York can play the Capitals' slow style quite well.

    Last time the Rangers won the cup was in 94 but they were kinda the New york Oilers cause they had quite a few Oilers on thst team at that time. Maybe it will be a rematch of the Rangers and Canucks.

    I bet the caps are glad they didn’t trade Max Pacioretty😂 he was about to be a ranger, until he rejected it, because he wanted to stay. Ended up being a good choice for him. He’s look good in Washington. It’s just funny how that works now they’re facing the Rangers. This is going to be a good series.

    I hear you Shannon, but whatever the tie-breaker rules are set in place need to be tweaked in some way because I genuinely don’t understand how WSH with -1 win and -40 goal differential compared to DET get in over them when they have the same number of points. To me, that makes no sense and I think DET deserves to be in MORE than WSH does. If Charlie Lindgren wasn’t a capital the caps would probably be a lottery pick.
