Matt Tomkins is a Lightning legend as far as I’m concerned
No matter what happens in the playoffs, I’m really happy with what this team showed this season. They had so much roster turnover and no Vasy and things looked bleak for the first half of the year, but they came together to make the playoffs with plenty of time to spare. A real testament to both cooper and of course Kuch to sometimes will the team to wins

Leafs fans in shambles
Mixed end to the season, Kuch got his 100th, they didn’t let Matthews get his 70th but I wished they hadn’t hung Tomkins out to dry. He’s my number one star tonight.
I cannot understand all the supposed Lightning fans in the main hockey sub saying they wish Matthews had scored. What kind of lane mentality is that wanting Kuch’s milestone to be overshadowed by a rival on our home ice in the last game of the season.

Lost in the excitement of this last month or so is how great of a pick up Anthony Duclair has been. I remember going to a Coyotes game out here in AZ during his and Domi’s rookie year. I was impressed by Duke then and I want us to re-sign the guy in the offseason. He’s had such a tremendous impact, he’s a perfect fit.
I already didn’t like the Leafs, and their performance tonight made me dislike them even more. Several days ago someone on here posted the interview where Coop said if a player (even Kuch) misses a team meeting, they sit. It’s about building the team. Leafs are playing their last game of the season, looking like fresh doggie doo doo going into the playoffs, and they put all of their offense weapons out there to try and spoon-feed Matthews a goal for his own personal reasons. Pathetic look for a franchise
For those that weren’t at the game, they were handing out jerseys off their backs and signing them and Tomkins scanned up and down the row a few times looking for the person holding his number that he could give his jersey to and no one had it. He looked very upset that he was excluded and I do not blame him one bit. Dude pulled an all-time performance for his first Maple Leafs game and got snubbed on celebrating. Hope he knows we appreciate him.
