So if Dallas wins today Vancouver is playing Nashville
From a Red Wings fan. Just be glad you are in the play offs. The Wings would be more than happy to take either teams place. And play whatever the schedule is for the play offs.
Go predators!
Also the tie breakers go RW, then ROW, then Total wins, then it’s who got more points head to head and then goal differential
Unfortunately Lego, you're a bit off. If you check the tie break procedure on the NHL Standings page on their website, it goes Regulation Wins (RW column) > Regulation and Overtime wins (ROW) > Total Wins (W) > Greater number of points earned in games between the tied clubs > Goal Differential > Higher number of Goals For. At this point, the only game that matters is DAL – STL to determine who wins the west. If Dallas gets a point, Vancouver plays Nashville. If they don't, and Vancouver beats Winnipeg, Vancouver gets either LA or Vegas.
it goes to regulation and overtime wins (wins excluding shootouts) so it comes down to the dallas angle
Preds have clinched WC1 no matter what kings or vegas do cause Kings cannot pass preds due to ROW and if kings passes vegas, then they hop to Pacific3 and that means that Vegas could at most at 99 also, but Vegas loses in RW tiebreaker.
Canucks are always whining
I like this take, start as soon as possible. In fact, I think the NHL should go to a 2-3-2 series format and have games on back to back nights.
It could make things more exciting what with the attrition and the more mistakes.
Also, June is a terrible month for hockey, try to end it by then.
Whiners. Starting the playoffs by being cry babies. For some reason I don't sense either of these teams are the eventual champs this year.
Stop your bitching. You could be the Red Wings.
Canucks are scared to play those other teams 😂 wuuuushyz
Thumbs down on yet another clicky garbage video
There is TV revenue involved.
Quite frankly, this NHL schedule was one of the worst organized schedules in the history of the league. We had to play LA all four times within a five-week span while our season series with Nashville ended four months ago. Meanwhile, this is applicable in similar fashion to just about every team in the NHL to some degree. Also, game 82 shouldn't be as much as four days apart for any of these teams because now we're looking at how it affects the playoff schedules. The NHL staff really need to get together and figure out how to better improve their schedules moving forward. If it means doing something different like back-to-back double-headers in the same arena on occasion, a la baseball, then so be it. They should also make it so that everybody plays game 82 on the same day, which really can't be that hard.
