Can everyone stop whining and lamenting that Auston Matthews didn’t get his 70th goal tonight? He scored 69 goals. As Steve points out he’s 26 years old. He’s had 60 goals in two previous seasons. He is an incredible talent and there is nothing for him to be ashamed of in anyway for this season or for his goal total.

Wth does it matter if he scored 1 more goal in a game that didn’t matter to literally anyone to give him 70? If you asked Matthews whether or not he is sad for not scoring against the lightning to get 70, if he had any standards he’d be saying “well I missed a chance against x team in game number x and with that goal we could’ve won the game and I’d have 70 goals and we’d have one more win but I didn’t score that so they didn’t happen. Pointless stats are just that, pointless.
Boston in 5 instead of 4 because they will give the fan base a slight glimmer of hope
One difference this year is with Domi on the wing Matthews stands a better chance of playing well because Domi will play much harder in tough games than Marner will.

I like Matthews, but the last 2 games were all about trying to make him get 70, because of this we are locked with Boston and he still didn't get it. Tonight's game was one of the easiest for Matthews to score, since the Lightning had their third string goalie in net. Hell, the kid played 5 NHL games in his life and Matthews still wasn't able to score on him. Makes you think how many of his goals were skill and how many were luck.
So what is it, ONE PLAYOFF SERIES WIN since you started the YT channel back in the day after 2004? Ever think you're the bad luck charm for the franchise? Maybe it's time to shut 'er down if (by if I'm being nice, it's really WHEN) Boston sends Toronto packing in Round Uno and it's business as usual? Wondering your take on this whole phenomenon?

OK enough with the 70, it didn't happen. I'm more concerned with the Leafs playing like trash heading into the playoffs. It feels like this team is going to really struggle to score goals on the Bruins. I hope they prove me wrong but I'm not holding my breath.
