The Montreal Canadiens played tonight in the Little Caesar’s Arena against the home team Detroit Red Wings and would end up losing to them by a final score of 5-4 in overtime, keeping the Red Wings’ playoff hopes alive slightly. Brendan Gallagher scored twice for the Canadiens, while Lane Hutson recorded his first career NHL assist, and Jake Evans had himself a 3-point night. Lucas Raymond scored the game tying and game winning goals for the Wings while Shayne Gostisbehere had a 3 assist night to help the Red Wings comeback down 4-1 halfway through the game to give the Red Wings the 5-4 victory in overtime.
