  1. Sucks it happened as soon as they got decent again. I teared up.

    But.

we can give flowers but think of how empty that arena has been for a decade…

  2. As an Oilers fan who would often go to Arizona in the winter, I will miss having the Coyotes there. I honestly believe with the right owner and a good arena this team can succeed. Hopefully Morelo is not involved in any of it.

  3. Wings fan here. This is heartbreaking! Hopefully someone can bring hockey back to phoenix relatively quickly!

  4. Well, SLC gets a team that will start making the playoffs in a year or two. Good for them. All the Coyotes fans who would actually attend games, putting all that effort in, get to watch the team make the playoffs somewhere else. I hope a franchise expansion does happen in Phoenix but with different ownership. NHL is to blame for allowing multiple ownership groups to buy this team within the past decade, and the ownership groups are to blame for not paying their bills, and especially not paying rent in Glendale to require Glendale to no renew the lease. The coyotes would still be in Glendale in a 16,000 capacity arena if ownership would have just paid their bills.

  5. That really sucks for any fan that loses a nhl team I really hope the coyotes get the money to build an arena and bring them back.

  6. As a Stars fan I wish I got to see a game in Arizona and really feel for yall but I’m sure they will get another team.

  7. It sucks for the fans that the coyotes have incompetent ownership. It would have been nice for the team had the fans shown up at previous arenas and years though. It may have made a difference.

  8. I am crying too. Sad to see you guys go. All the best from Europe (Germany), Yotes! Hope to see you again soon! <3

  9. watching the toronto media treat the Coyotes leaving like it was a bigger tragedy than when the Jets and Nordiques left is laughable. NOBODY wanted this team in AZ and nobody will notice when they're gone. Salt Lake City is a far better landing place.

  10. Columbus Fan here, Its beyond tragic what happen I hope some competant Owner groups brings Hockey back to Phoenix.

  11. I hope the young lady waving the flag gets a lot of hugs. It can't be easy saying goodbye to a seasonal job that one takes out of pure love and passion for what you get involved in.

  12. I am a Canucks fan and I watched this game and it ripped my heart the fans didn’t deserve this poor ownership seeing the fans the staff even the ice girl ripped my heart the plus side is that they have a good minor hockey system now and I hope with a proper ownership that some day they will get a team again

  13. Im not a coyotes fan but im 32 years old so its definitely sad seeing a team thats been around since i can remember going away

  14. as a flyers fan i understand the passion of coyotes fans. everyone hates to see a franchise go.
