  1. This team will be greatly missed. Alex Meruelo WON'T! Salt Lake City will be getting the best part. Fans here STILL HAVE WORK TO DO TO GET A QUALITY OWNER HERE. WHAT WE HAD ISN'T THE ANSWER. THE MAN HAS NO RESPECT FOR THE FAN OR CONSCIENCE.

  2. This is truly a tragedy. It’s proof that the NHL is not ready for expansion. They can’t support the teams they have. If hockey ever decides to return to the valley, the Murelo family should never be allowed to have anything to do with it. They don’t have deep enough pockets or commitment to success. Next, please!

  3. In the 7th game of that 1999 playoff against St. Louis, Jeremy Roenick – imperial forces mask and all – played twice the game that Keith Tkajerk did. The fact that Phoenix blew that series the way they did was proof that the playoff curse of the Winnipeg Jets was alive and well.

  4. The only massive fails the NHL made since the Wayne Gretzky trade in 1988: Phoenix/Arizona Coyotes after leaving downtown Phoenix for suburban Glendale and the Atlanta Thrashers.
