I have no idea how Makar didn’t outscore Quinn. Put Mackinnon in place of any player on the Canucks and Quinn would’ve scored 120 points this season.

  2. A little premature. Doughty can still get 43 points to steal it in the third period.

I’m so happy Makar didn’t pass him Hughes is the no doubt front runner this year imo but I feel like eastern bias would look at point totals and say oh Makar should get it if he passed hughes

That’s the perfect centreman we’ve been looking for.

*of course* a Cup victory is the ultimate goal, but to finally witness the first Norris winner in franchise history is so great. hopefully the first Vezina isn’t too much farther.

I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t get the Norris, he should be a shoe in

  7. First time any Canucks dman has finished 1st in dman scoring in the NHL. Closest before this was Quinn last season who finished 3rd and Dale Tallon in 1970-71 who finished 3rd.

crazy Quinn is still years away from his prime

    Norris sealed!

Seriously though, imagine if Hughes got to play with Mack and Rantonen all year long. Easy 100+ points

  10. I never thoughts I’d live to a canucks D-man like this. Unbelievable performance.

Hot take but I think the Hughes brothers have a chance to go down as the best set of brothers to ever play in the NHL
