I really hope we keep him! He was fantastic this year!

Love Monahan. I’ll admit I wasn’t happy when we traded for him but he’s made me eat my words and has become one of my favourite players on the Jets this season.

Habs fan here. I loved Mony on our team and I’m really happy he’s doing so well in Winnipeg. I’ll be rooting for you guys in the off-season. Go Jets!

Just for fun, the mad scientist in me is thinking how many regular season games it is theoretically possible to have a player to play to maximize their points given that player would just be constantly traded:
Have them play everyday including having a private Concorde so they could do double or triple headers within a given day.
Heck, if the NHL realizes we watch hockey during work, they can lift the restriction of matinees only being played on weekends we could probably put this poor bastard through 4 games/day
October 10th to 31st is 22 days + 30 for November + 31 (-3) for December (minus Christmas break), + 31 (-2 for All star weekend first half), + 29 for leap year February (-2 for all star weekend second half) + 7 days for March 1st to March 7th.
Up until this point we have 143 days with 4 games each for 572 games.
March 8th is trade deadline so our player will probably play a matinee and then get traded to the team with the most games remaining from March 8th to April 18th. 43 days would be about 22 games if we have an nhl team that averages a game every other day, and if we add the extra matinee game from trade deadline, we get 572+1+22 = 595 games per season.
If somebody actually did this, they could break Gretzky’s records (as well as their own body).
