  1. This is almost like karma. Phoenix / Arizona did this to Winnipeg back in 1996. Winnipeg had fans supporting their team . The NHL will not be going back to Arizona unless a new arena is built and they have new ownership

  2. Utah hit the lottery.. and it's not gonna work. They call huntsville alabama the hockey capital of the south but no pro team.. we would have 18000 season ticket holders for the first season nhl is missing out the Arizona/Utah experiment is done.. he might can run a nba circus but the nhl is another animal he ain't ready

  3. Utah Pumas? Utah Cougars? fierce, aggressive, take down prey twice their size… commensurate with promising youngsters who punch above their weight… commensurate with ' Mountain Lion/Big Cat country'… Future PWHL affiliate the lady lions/lionesses?

  4. Utah Outlaws can lean into Bee/Honey Badger imagery, or classic Cowboy/Frontier vibes. I’d honestly love to see it, they’re feisty and tough like Hockey Players should be.

  5. Untrue !!! The team was purchased from the Coyotes owner for 1 billion by the NHL who then sold it to Smith for 1.2 and the 200 mil goes to the owners,, JEEZ
GET IT RIGHT ITS YOUR FUCKING JOB😂😂😂😂

  6. Refreshing to see an Owner who cares about the sport and the team and not just the money. Lucky to have that here in Dallas but sad for the Yotes fans and players. Hopefully some of the fans can hop on board with the new Utah team until hockey (hopefully) returns to AZ.

  7. Having some young money in the NHL can only be a good thing. I'm excited to see where this leads. I'm really sad for the Arizona diehards, but there just weren't enough of you to keep that team from hemorrhaging money from day 1.

  8. Been seeing some new ones like Blizzard, Venom, Fury, Havok, and now Spikes. Yeti isn't bad but i like the list above a bit better.

  9. Being a coyotes fan, I am ultimately upset to lose our team. However Ryan Smith seems like a legitimate owner with character. The fact he flew in and met with everyone almost instantly says alot about him as a person and I am happy that the guys seemingly will be taken care of and have an owner that wants to back them.

  10. Awesome! I wonder how long it will take before Utah gets an NFL team say like the Saints or the Chiefs would fit right in here.

  11. I hope this SLC team becomes the Jazz of the NHL a do noething team for a do noething city that desperately wants to be anything other than what it was, is and will always be known as, a cultural wasteland. SCREW MURUELO, the NHL and SLC SUCKS!

  12. Coyotes fans know that it wasn’t Smiths fault. He is getting a great team and far better than any expansion team would be. The Coyotes front office has done an incredible job of getting draft picks and prospects. The young guns on this team will be great. There are no bad contracts and tons of flexibility to create a great team. I have no doubt that Utah will have a playoff team next year. That is why Coyotes fans are so hurt, it was supposed to be our team. Meruelo gave away everything that is the Coyotes, and is only keeping the name and logo. Congratulations Utah you made out like bandits, make the most of it.

  13. He circumvented 750 million expansion fee charged to VGK and SEA by expanding in UT after he tells Gary Bettman to shut down Arizona because rink too small? Nhl teams can buy and shut each other down now and Save 750 million in process. Almost as corrupt as flyers pulling goalie and falling over to put WSH in playoffs.
