Thought Isles played well. Brindy said his team stunk. Isles have been playing playoff hockey for a month. Canes will be better. Not sure Isles can play better.
I wonder if a sweep would expose this team as a pretender and hasten louzer's departure? Isles made it six last playoff. Would be lucky to go six this playoff with too many bums showing their real faces. Lack of finishers hurt too.

Isles played really good, we should have been up by 2-3 goals after the second. The Lee penalty and Palms penalty were ahhh. If you’re going to call the penalty on Lee and Palms? Officials should have called embellishment on the two Cane players. Lol, especially the Palms penalty lol that Dude dropped like he was shot! I watched the Bruins vs Maple Leafs and man was that an awesome game! The physicality in that game made the Isles vs Canes look like a pillow fight lol The Isles need to play like they did today, slow the game down like they did, FINISH like they didn’t do today and be much more physical! Everyone has to buy in with the physicality and finish every check. If a Hurricane like Aho or Kuznetsov is skating with the puck? It’s 100% legal to light them up. (This is the playoffs) it’s a contact sport, play like it’s a damn contact sport! I didn’t see Romanov blow anyone up? Unacceptable! We traded for him because of his physicality and his clean violent hitting and I didn’t see any major collisions with him (or anyone else) that’s unacceptable. Let’s go Islanders

i watch every show but missed this one ..TONIGHT I was sleeping…im now up at 2am to bring my kids to airport…you said the canes were not on there game…i think we just shut them down…the problem was we had many open nets point blank shots …power play is brutal but as i said several times things have a way of evening out in hockey…no open nets all year and 3 right at the end..thats where some luck comes in…im looking at this game as the better team did not win…look at the last 2 games with the strangers..we won but the strangers out played us and the last they won and we out played them…i think the ISLES are feeling good right now..i think they needed this loss…i hope they watch this game 10 times today….right now all the pressure is on the canes..the ISLES are supposed to lose…the hockey world has the canes as a lock which is good for us…we have nothing to lose…im telling you we are in there heads right now..i could see iit n brindamours face…watch his interview..he knows they stole one…BRO IM FEELING IT..WERE READY TO MAKE A ANOTHER RUN…THE NEXT GAME WERE GONNA SHIFT 2ND GEAR…IM EXCITED…i think the canes are gonna come out storming and were gonna let them blow there load..then were gonna win the next..no nail biters…its gonna even out now…time to give them a spanking…
No shame in the Isles game, it's just the puck couldn't find the back of the net. Dobson got robbed and Palms had a fairly open net but somehow his shot hit the post . All that along with two terrible calls by the striped jackasses equated to a loss
Have to be careful of Canes dives and make our shots count.

Good 🌄, Gil, how are you? You're right The Islanders were solid, but they weren't solid enough. The Hurricanes weren't on their A game, but they just didn't take advantage of it. They fell behind, but they came back, and stayed with them they blocked a lot of shots. The loss dimmef the happiness for Anders Lee who became a father for the 3rd time. Congratulations, Anders. You're also right about something else. I ❤ THE ISLANDERS TO DEATH, BUT THEY HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO FINISH WHAT THEY START. Hero, Varlamov, for being on top of his game, and Kyle McMcLaine for acoting the opening goa. 🐐 The specialty units. GET BETTER ON THE PP. AND STAY OUT OF THE JOINT. After killing off Palmieri's penalty, they had 4 minutes to vote close or tie the game up, but they messed up. I'm glad Noah Dobson was back. HAPPY 🎂, STEVE WEBB. Before I go, I must tell you, I watched the chapter from July 17th, when they resigned Oliver Wahlstrom, and said HAPPY 🎂, TO TROTS. We need Lee, Horvat and Mac in front of the net to get the puck past elite goalies, and we need guys just putting it to the net so they can create havok.
IMO, the big story is 3 stupid penalties by our veteran players. Anders in a race for the puck and he decides to stop skating and put his arm out to impede Skjei. Matt Martin totally unaware of his position and smacking that puck directly over the glass. Where did he think it would go? Use your big body, you dummy. The Palms slash was a head scratcher.
