Rust wore this home set jersey for the Penguins’ annual “Shirts Off Our Backs” game. The Pens faced off against the Nashville Predators on 4/15 in a tilt that had major playoff implications at the time. Pittsburgh bested the Preds by a score of 4-2. Rust picked up an assist on Sidney Crosby’s 1st period goal. The assist was Rust’s 200th of his NHL career. Rusty finished the game with the lone assist, 5 shots on goal, and a minus 1 rating in 22:00 of ice-time. At the conclusion of the game, fans who redeemed a “shirt off the back” on a scratch off ticket were escorted to the ice to meet a player and receive a game worn jersey off the player’s back.

Beauty I have his RR2.0 gamer my favorite jersey
What does it smell like? Hopefully they didn’t wash it
Has anyone been through the process?
Always wondered if they force you to get the personalized autograph?
I’m anti autograph. I’d much rather have my favorite players jersey, unsigned. I especially don’t want my own name sctibbled anywhere.
But wondered if they force the “to xyz” to tamp down immediate resale. ?
Can you walk out sharpie- free?
Did you actually win this from the scratch cards they were randomly handing out at the door?
In 21 years as a STH, the Pens have featured me in Ice Time and the Mellon Arena scoreboard for Season Ticket Holder Spotlights. But I’d trade em both for a jersey off a Pens’ back.
That is so cool, I hope one day I can afford a gamer. I wish adidas “authentics” were the level of quality the gamers are.
