New NHL Teams Are Coming!

New NHL teams are coming, that’s no secret.

Expansion is inevitable, there’s money to be made, and the success of recent expansion teams in the Vegas Golden Knights and Seattle Kraken proves this. If it’s not expansion, it could be the relocation of a struggling franchise, like the Arizona Coyotes who can’t seem to secure an arena deal. But which cities could land the 33rd, or even 34th NHL franchise?

  1. So it sounds like there's rumors suggesting the Coyotes are possibly heading to Salt Lake City! Do you think it happens? 👀

  2. What they should do is build a light rail Sky train that connects Halifax , PEI and New Brunswick . At the halfway point . That's where you Build the Arena . Make it 25 or 30 thousand though . Call them the Old World Maritimers . So many would use the Transit you could use the unused parking area to build some Hotel Space for the Teams as well as Fans that may Travel from Newfoundland or Outlying areas of N.B , N.S. and PEI .

  3. San Diego, CA(What I call Snubbed Diego) is worthy of an NHL HOCKEY TEAM, San Antonio, TX, NORFOLK,VA-The Tidewater Metropolitian are in Southeastern Virginia which has more people than the Charlotte are & Raliegh-zDurham area where the Carolin Hurricanes NHL team plays

  4. I firmly back Atlanta as Minnesota can’t wait to beat them again.

I also agree with KC perhaps the KC Pioneers or something along that line of thinking.

  5. Where will they get the players? There are already too many guys in the league that don’t belong there.

  6. "Hockey History" – what does that have to do with anything, Canada has "Hockey History" in all its cities but can't get a team, and 5 whole games with an attendance over 8500 in Salt Lake, Wow, Halifax Mooseheads have that as an average attendance over the season for QMJHL, so a small Canadian East Coast City can do better for junior hockey. I can't believe they are considering Atlanta again, after two failed attempts already. Hamilton or Quebec would support a team easily, but will never get the chance with Bettman as league president. The NHL is very Anti-Canada, is becoming obvious.

  7. As a Boston Bruins fan, I'd have very little interest in seeing another expansion team with no history. But I could get into having one become the new Quebec Nordiques.

Technically they'd have no history either… but it must've really s*cked for those fans to lose their team.

  8. You now in theory have 1 chance in 32 of your team winning a cup. So how would you like chance that diluted even more? Well it won't matter as greed always wins out in the end. Its a business.

  9. While Quqbec's met population is around 800,000, they fail to take into account the fact that there are literally millions of fans in the surrounding provinces and US states who would be more than happy to make the trip to Quebec city to see a Nordiques game…ESPECIALLY if it's against the Habs. The only reason the "deck is stacked against them" is because Bettmen is an asshole who hates Canada.

  10. I’m predicting the new franchise in Utah will be called the Yeti so much could be done with a new logo that brings excitement.

  11. First, West Toronto/Hamilton deserves a 2nd team. Canadians love our hockey. Up next, Houston, Portland, Cincinatti or Atlanta.

  12. There ain't a chance in hell that Portland getsva team. Already a natural rivalry between Seattle and Vancouver. Plus throw in the glut of Cali teams…yeah, less than zero percent chance the Portlsnd even smells a team. The west coast would be too congested…akin to the easylt coast if Hartford was brought back.

  13. NHL should go International as well – would be cool to have some European teams in the NHL

  14. Betman is a joke. He hates Canada and has obviously laid down the rule. No canadian team can win the cup. Refs are so biased ots ridiculous. He would rather have 10 US teams looseoney than put one more team in Canada. Hey bud its our game. Go back to that stupid game you came from. Get out of ours.

  15. Its bad enough with 32 teams, making average droughts lasting (you guessed it 32 years)
Imagine being a fan of a franchise and never seeing your team win anything in your entire lifetime. That is likely gonna be the case for many people if they keep expanding.

  16. Move the Leafs out of Toronto cause they are not working its taking 57 maybe 58 years to win the Stanley Cup, it took Vegas only 5 to 6 years to win the Cup and they are brand New. Something isn't adding up here

  17. Did you say Seattle crackhead? 🤣🤣🤣 It would be a good representation of the city. 🤷‍♂️🤣🤣🤣🤣

  18. Bettman was let go in they nba , so the sports cooperation committees made him go to a less popular sport in they us which is hockey. Basketball and Baseball is more popular in the states and they have only 30 teams, this nut case bettman is ruining the nhl. And listen up fans the chance of your team winning is like over 30 years , he’s just a greedy dwarf.

  19. Why the fuck pro sports expanding # of teams? The talent pool gets too thin and it's harder for fans to follow the sport. I use to know all the players on each team in the 70's. This is ridiculous. ENOUGH ALREADY!

  20. Since this video, The NHL has announced, that The Coyotes are moving to UT. The City of Atlanta had 2 🏒 teams, and looked what happened to them. They let the 🔥 go to Calgary, and They won The Stanley Cup 9 years ago, and The Thrashers weren't drawing attendance, and moved back to Winnipeg. Hartford, No Way. They let rhe Whalers go to Carolina, and they won the Stanley Cup a few years later. The Province of Quebec let The Nordiques go to CO, and to add insult to injury, tbey won The The Stanley Cup their first year there.
