We will draft another Dylan larkin
Wings haven’t had a top 3 pick in like 50 years.
So would Utah pick a name before the draft
give me Iginla! When we don’t move/trade up at all, take Greentree- a big left shot winger, who has a solid scoring touch and passing ability. Supposed to have good character and leadership as well
Use draft picks, to move up in the draft.
Thought it was the 14th.. but anyways they could still land Eiserman or Brandsegg-Nygard
Silovs just got called up in emergency situation or something to do with ebug have you heard anything
if we get a chance to get him id love to see Shai Buiums brother get drafted with us. That brother D line could work wonders in the future.
Anyone else notice the math was off in the wikipedia article?
I know exactly what they'll do with it. They'll make a pick and keep him in the minors for 3-4 years.
So, the Wings will be drafting 16th then?
Chicago's my choice for the over all first pick. Anaheim, New Jersey & Utah are at the top of list of potential fior the first over all pick.
yzerman will draft some bum like he usually does and then keep him in grand rapids for the next 8 years lol
Continue to flounder in mediocrity as their prospects step into the middle roster positions they were destined for.
Theres a reason why Detroit sucks really on the draft picks to much the turn bust
Need physical agitating wingers
RW Liam Greentree from the neighboring Windsor Spitfires seems like a great story for Detroit. Liam's skating is described as a work in progress but can get better. He has the size SY wants at 6'2" 198 lbs Greentree compares to Jason Roberts.
RW Michael Brandsegg- Nygard also is physical style forward at 6' 1" 194 lbs…..middle six PP specialist
RW Beckett Sennecke. Plays that coveted 200 foot game SY looks for in all forwards. 6' 2" 181lbs.
Right now the Red Wings' drafting philosophy should be "You can teach a scorer to check but you can't teach a checker to score!"
Sam Jose needs the 1st rd pick way more than Chicago.
They should be packaging it in a trade. They are no longer in the rebuild phase so it’s time to get into the playoffs.
if detroit drafts michael brandsegg nygård would be good, because brandsegg nygård is playing for skellefteå aik next season, which is where detroits prospect axel sandin pellikka is playing and will play next season aswell
They will do what EVERY team should do, select the best player available.
Two of our top 4 wingers this year are pretty old, so I could see them going for that. We desperately need high end centers so may we keep taking swings at that. There are a ton of great defenseman available so maybe the best guy available will be on D?
Tij Iginla belongs in Calgary.
Are we forgetting that if Boston decides to keep their first that rolls over to next season and this pick thus belongs to Ottawa??
Cole Yzerman- but spelled Eiserman
Thanks for saving me some time and organizing all of this info for us 🎉
Oh boy, Anaheim with 3rd and San Jose with 1st?? Don't be surprised to see YOUR Chicago Blackhawks swoop in and steal the first overall pick twice in a row! I can already see it happening, lol.
Don’t sleep on Basha.
We have enough young guys, let’s trade our top 2 selections for a solid top 6 forward.
I want to trade up or stay for Iginla Chernyshov or my favorite Catton
They should consider drafting Terik Parascak he had an amazing season and is also having a great playoffs. His team just knocked out iginlas team and he arguably played better than him
Draft is loaded with decent wingers, meaning Steve is probably going center or defenseman again…
What does it matter. Anyone we pick is going to languish in Grand Rapids for 5 years.
Chernyshov and Letourneau intrigue me as well as overage (19 year old) Anthony Romani.
The last time they picked 15th it was Larkin. Keep the pick.
I think SY trades up because he has assets to burn but if nobody wants tk play then he takes the best guy that fell in the draft. ASP was one of those and so was Oliver Moore. Other players who fell in that range were Frank Nazar and Jonathan Lekkerimaki. There will be options.
