Playoff hockey is better when the Vancouver Canucks are involved
Jay Onrait is joined by TSN Hockey analyst Frankie Corrado to get his thoughts on the Canucks’ dramatic comeback win over the Predators in the first playoff game in Vancouver in nine years.
I think all these games will be close but Canucks largely won this off their third line tonight. If they can get their big players going I can definitely see them wrapping this up in 4 or 5 even if every game is a one goal game. I think they're just a bit better everywhere.
While the Canucks, among them, Jets and Leafs, opened their 2024 playoff series with a win during which overall they'd played relatively defensively responsible hockey, neither the Jets nor Leafs did, with the: – Jets' having BARELY won their opening game in regulation (7–6), making me wonder, given just how many goals they surrendered, if their play will even be sustainable (with allowing even FOUR goals often, in postseason play, a recipe for disaster – Leafs' having, for their 8th straight playoff game, scored <3 goals but for their 5th straight non-preseason game having allowed 5 or more goals
So, in other words, playoff hockey is better when Vancouver makes a long run, which leads to the city destroying itself when it collapses. Nice to know.
FYI – not everyone gets to see the game live. Some of us only get highlights, and we don’t want to know the score or outcome up front, in the title of the video. Thanks for blabbing the outcome in the title and ruining it. For future reference, maybe the best title for a video about game highlights is “game highlights”? We can figure out who won….
This is the difference between Vancouver and Toronto. Vancouver can put out 4 lines solid dmen and a superstar goaltender. They play tough have patience. It's going to be a fun playoffs

they didn't rely on their powerplay , i didn't think they would win this one..but the fans erupted in the 3rd .that sure helped
