I often get this question: “when will the Islanders call up [player X]?” So here’s the answer. I also break down who might get said call-up by position from wingers, to centers, to defensemen and even goalies.
Great video. Understanding who & why NHL teams call up players is not understood by many die-hard NHL fans. Most fans dont understand why Holmstrom would get the call over Ishakov, Dufour or Raty. Plus the Isles would want to see what they have in Holmstrom since hes been in Bport for 3yrs w/out a call up.
Only way Schneider plays is if there is a back to back. That being said.. dude is still doing his thing and I have full confidence in his game after last year
