Impossible not to be happy for the guy, always smiling.
Zach Hyman is the epitome of a genuinely humble hard working guy. He is an example to many young hockey players on and off the ice. He is relentless with the puck, always battles hard, never gives up. A loveable team player. His many contributions to charity, the guy is a living legend. My favorite Oiler. Undeniably effective. He does all the little things right, without drawing alot of attention and I think without expending unnecessary energy – playing consistent and gaming a full 60 minutes.
Very very smart. Elusive. Yes, anyone playing with the best centers like Sid/McJesus are going to benefit, but he was the most effective leaf in the post season in years past as well.
I don't think any one thing that stands out in terms of his competency, but I'd bet his hockey IQ is right at the top. Mark Stone like player with a history of double digit +- even without being on top lines.
