Rangers Bend But Don’t Break In 4-3 Win Over Caps To Take 2 Game Lead In Series | New York Rangers



The Washington Capitals had more of a push in Game 2 as tempers and physicality increased but The Blueshirts were able to close the door late in the 3rd to secure a 2-0 series lead. Igor Shesterkin had 22 saves and both Mika Zibanejad and Vincent Trocheck had a goal and an assist in the win. The series goes to Washington for games three on Friday night.

    Friday's game is where the series really starts. Game 1 went about how we expected, game 2 we expected some push back from the Caps and got exactly that. This team will have to put themselves in a position to sweep on Friday if they want to avoid what happened in their past 2 series

    Hate to be the fly in the ointment here but despite the win, that they struggled against this team is pretty alarming. The Capitals are pretty bad, actually really bad, and they hung on to barely beat them.

    I usually enjoy Wes McCauley, but he called a crappy game. Hated the way he handled Torts ejection a few weeks ago ! Plus Rempe is under a microscope out there .
