The leafs can't play both Marner and Nylander – it's one or the other. There is no way the Leafs can win with 2 empty shirts in the same line up.

Simple, Domi and Bertuzzi took his job their toughness have given Matthews more room. He needs to be with Nylander not Traverse period! Marner won't dig for the puck off the boards. When Traverse battles get dish it out front, Marner is never in the dirty areas around the net.
Marner is a fraud. His stats would be trash if he wasn’t playing with 34 his entire career. He’s a $4-5 million player imo. Brad… you know what to do
Marner's camp demanded a contract similar to Matthew's in the last negotiation and his next negotiation is coming up. We all see the gap between the two now and it's a lot more than 2.5M per – the hate is pre-emptive to Marner being about to say "I deserve a raise on the amount that made me almost Matthew's equivalent".

Maybe Mitch is still fighting through some of his injury. I know he's been cleared to play for a while now, but ya never know with these guys. We're always willing to jump right to "there's no way Matthews isn't playing hurt" when he has a stretch of not producing, so why not for Mitch too? He's been magic for so long (playoffs notwithstanding, I get that) so I definitely see this as an anomaly

Guys, if Marner wanted power forward protection then he should have left some money on the table during his last contract extension, wouldn't you agree? The amount of coddling marner gets to try and make him play right is incredible. How about…..you're playing for the Stanley Cup and you just want to win no matter what!!! Marner is not supposed to be paid $11 m. Ever!!!! The most he should get for 100 points , $7m. If it was not for Mathews, Marner would never get 100 points, not even close

It's difficult to come back from a high ankle sprain. It takes a dozen games or more to be 100%. I'm not a fan of 16 and don't think he can play playoff hockey, but I predict he'll get better as the playoffs go on

Marner loves putting pressure on Himself to perform… on top of the pressure already coming from a crazed Hockey market… and that's not an ideal recipe! He'd be better served playing in a market where no one's gonna recognize Him when he gets Cold… in order for Him to check out!! Reminds me of Patrice Brisebois in Montréal a bit!!
