Probably doesn't mean anything for certain. This is a move they'd have done at some point anyway. But it does open up a higher tier of player they could maybe trade for. Anyone they trade for probably gets a new deal or a restructure but they'd have to fit under the current cap at the point the trade is accepted I think? They'd have been limited to players under $12m cap hit in a draft day trade. Sutton's 10TDs on a not great offense at $13m a year for 2 years doesn't look like a bad investment right now.
Spencer Anderson in OTAs, dude will have been at worst the second team Center. He's bound to have taken a bunch of snaps with Wilson. Plus I think that outing, there were IG posts from futures contracts guys on the OL as well. But yeah, I do think they might be quietly not that put out if they don't get one of the top 2 or 3 Centers in this draft. Like you I think there's better depth in this class than originally thought at Center. I think you've gotten higher on a bunch of the lesser touted guys Matt? And they still have their "in house" options that the brass talked about. Lots of guys with Center experience on roster, Daniels, Herbig, Anderson, Seumalu never gets mentioned and maybe he should. Smartest guy, best OL player last year, probably the best puller…. has Center experience but he was never going to be one in Philly behind Kelce. But he played some in preseason there as well as a bunch in College.
