Episode 187 “A Butt-kicking Disguised at a Comeback” – New York Islanders vs Carolina Hurricanes

Episode 187 – “A Butt-kicking Disguised at a Comeback” – Ethan Sears

As the title suggests, the New York Islanders failed to hold their 3-0 lead in game two, losing any momentum from game one, and dropped 0-2 in their series with the Carolina Hurricanes. There’s not a lot of hope in this week’s episode, but we cover the first two games of the series and try to figure out some of the deeper problems on the Island.

  1. Lee is so nonchalant about that loss because he is still cashing a $7 million dollar check for the next 2 years. He gets to play "hard" for a week leading up to the trade deadline and 4 games in the playoffs. What a deal.

  2. First of all, The Cains had ZERO problems entering our zone and setting up at will. We couldn't catch them, we couldn't generate any pressure, we went almost a whole period without a shot, we never dictate play, and the Cains know what we're going to do before we do it!!! AND SOROKIN COULDN'T GET A FUCKING CHAIR?!

  3. There is one point I disagree with…I watched Rod Brind'Amour during the third period and the thing that struck me….He never appeared to me to be concerned. He knows that if his team plays to their potential…they win.
