Try being someone who witnessed the Leafs winning their last Stanley Cup in 1967 and having lived through all these years of disappointment, exasperation, depression and even hope that they'd win another cup before departing this world. As time has gone on the chances of the Leafs winning becomes less while the chances of me taking a night flight to venus increases. Two things are certain. As long as the Leafs, and Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainment, keep making zillions of dollars, winning a cup is secondary and second, since the cost of tickets is only within reach of the corporatists and suits who are only there for business purposes and can't be bothered to show up until half way through a period you no longer have the real fans to cheer the team on. Look at fans that are outside watching the game on the big screen. Those people are the real fans. Sheldon Keefe should have been let go at least a couple of years ago. He's been out coached and out played every post season. He's the definition of insanity, doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result.
More than just throw the second unit out to start, I think it's time to balance out both PP's better. Make them BOTH ad much of a threat as possible. Create 2, 4 man units, and then swap Auston between them on a case by case basis (with whomever is alternate would be). You've got the players!

Put Reaves and Knies in front of the net to dominate the crease, create some havoc,and block the keeper from seeing the shots coming…..sadly they have no defenseman with a heavy shot, that would be a huge help also.. 4 forwards and Rielly is not working well at all, Keefe needs to rethink that move.

Matthew's should be on the ice for all 2 minutes of the power play. Additionally he should be on the ice after every TV time out. He should also be double shifted with other lines. Need to ride papi hard. That is what the money is for. Look at pasternak taking extra shifts.

Each of the core players have one goal except marner the 11 sheets player no goals.
Please get Tavares and marner off every powerplay what about a domi a kampf or a dewar.
Powerplay too predictable need to change it up man for the love of God.

It's well past the time of the core being split it dosent work hasn't worked and won't work.
You can't tell me we aren't out coached every series! Keefe sucks. There's not a force on earth that can convince me that revo not fighting three games in isn't Keefe telling him not to. Keefe is a clown on good days
This schedule is messed up. Why is there 2 full days between games 3 and 4, and another two full days between games 4 and 5? Game 5 is in Boston, but there's no scheduling conflict with the Celtics.
Keefe should have been fired after they lost to Montreal…
