Trade Harris and Barron. The untouchables for now, unless the return is significant: I would not move Xekaj(can't teach his kind of toughness), or Hutson ,Mailloux,Engstrom( may be the best of the bunch),Reinbacher,Guhle( though his being prone to injury worries me)Struble is a nice insurance D, and may have interest to other teams. We are going to have to trade some of them eventually,we can start with Barron(i miss Lekhonen) and Harris, imo
We’ve got to move more than just one dman lol! We also have Hutson and Mailloux, Barrón all NHL ready! I would t be shocked if any of our dmen are moved with the exception of Guhle. Nobody saw the Romanov trade coming so do let it shock you of even Matheson or Xkejah gets moved!
Trudeau, Hutson. Harris are too small, …watch the playoffs.
I would trade Kovacevic or Barron
It’s going to cost a D prospect at least, maybe two, maybe another forward prospect and a first this year or next, to find something that’s going to be of some kind of quality. Harris, Struble, Kovacevic, Barron, Farrell, Mesar, and maybe other options, to potentially get something back
Trade Engstrom and keep that crazy Craig Rivet trade tree growing!
I dont mind us trading away Mailloux for a better forward prospect
Johnny K. the best + – on the team, engages, will fight, very low cap hit, big covers space, smart …keeper. Trade-Harris, Savard, Trudeau, Norlander at the draft…don't wait. Get Engstrom, Reinbacher, & Hutson starting in Laval. Logan M. and Baron start with the big club.
Move the Price deal to Utah for picks at the draft! 🪜
DO NOT trade Mike Matheson.
i would trade savard for two snickers & give them a case of molson
Guhle does not fit on my team. Matheson, Hutson,Xhekaj on the left with Struble as extra guy. Guhle is going to be traded, Harris too and maybe Barron as well. Mailloux passed Barron and Reinbacher will too. Honda Civic stays with Savard and Mailloux on the right side to complete opening day defence.
Everyone here is talking like giving away our bottom prospects would being in high offense.
Lets trade Barron & Harris For McDavid.
Its like Carolina offers us Necas for Hutson & Mailloux.
Would you accept that?
Look ! It's celliebrini , 3#1 and a young defenseman left side ! San Jose, Chicago, columbus , even anahiem would be crazy to say no ! And we get a star for the minimum 10 years !
Matheson isnt going anywhere this year. We need Hutson behing Matheson for a season. That said, Strubble can go back to laval or trade him and Harris. One thing is for sure were not trading a Dman for a top 6 this off season
Harris, Struble, Barron (worst trade by Hughes), can be all traded.
All depends on how big of a fish you want to catch, I don’t see Harris or Struble bring in anyone big, that will like take one of Reinbacher Mailloux, Guhle
If you are going to keep Hutson, you have to keep “Xhehkaj” to protect against other teams targeting smaller more skilled players.
Harris is smaller and easiest to push off the puck. And Kovacevic because as you said we know what his ceiling is and Malloux and Reinbacher can replace him
If we want to make a real legit trade for a young power forward like Zegras. We will need to let go some good guys. They wanted Arber Xhekaj. We will not part with him.
Maybe they will want a combo of Kaiden Guhle, Savard, Kovacevic, Struble, Matheson and Jordan Harris.. Or all of them and a draft pick. We Have to make way for Lane and Mailloux anyways. Our current D guys are not that good. We have been the bottom 5 in the NHL for a few years now. We need to take some risks and put these guys out there.
I wouldn't really trade anyone for draft picks at this point. We need proven talent now to compete. Not guys ready in a few years.
We need to hold on to Matheson so he can guide the young defensemen to play in the NHL!
Maillow is a keeper, you gotta keep him to be a presence of size for the right side
I always hear that we need to keep all the best D we have (Popcorn, Hutson, Mailloux, Matheson, Guhle, Sheriff etc etc) but what we need to understand is you can't keep 6 Ds that will all make 5-6-7-8 Millions a year. You can't built that way. You need to have a top pair at 6-8 Mil, then you need a middle pair at 4-5 Mil each then a bottom pair at 1-2 Mil and a 4th pair at minimum wage. So you will need to keep 2-3 guys like Harris, HondaCivic, Struble, Barron, Trudeau etc etc.
I thought Kovacevic would've been traded at the deadline. Could be traded this summer, but I don't think the return is gonna be nearly as much. Harris looks like the odd man out, although the fact he can play both sides might help him. At this point, Justin Barron is starting to skate on thin ice. As a RHD, with a good point shot, his value could be even higher than Harris/Struble, and if Konyushkov is coming over (and especially if the Habs decide to target a RHD early in the draft), I could see them moving Barron for a forward.
Trudeau is our most underrated asset, they might move him or someone knowing he can play at NHL level.
All fine and dandy but the Engstrom, Harris, Struble and Kovacevic will not fetch much in a trade. If we want a true top 6 young forward, sadly we have to give up on Mailloux, Guhle or Reinbacher. 4-5-6 dmen aren't worth that much.
Depending on where we end of up in the lottery we could use Harris to move up a spot or 2
I’m shocked at how little love Mailloux gets.
The guy is a stud RD who provides offence and plays physical.
Laval season was turned around when Wifi was partnered with LM.
Everyone clamouring for a Dman to be traded for a top 6 forward needs to leave Ghule, Wifi and Mailloux names outta that conversation.
If we trade for zegras , i may have to find a new team to cheer for , he is a goof
Trade matheson
Harris is the most likely to go, I think. Maybe Kovacevic, too, although his size would be tough to lose. I do have a comment about one term that you use a lot: upside. It is one of those terms that ceases to have any meaning. What does it mean to say a player has "upside"? Don't any potential NHLers have some kind of "upside"? It seems that a lot of expressions that have become popular in recent years are most vague than the ones they replace. I'd just drop this one. Also, Jesse, you really say "as well" too much. I think it becomes a verbal habit. It's almost never needed. I don't' mean to be critical but I think these small changes would make your videos even better.
Hudson and Savard would be a good pair. This would let Hudson be the offensive threat we know he can be. Having a savvy vet like Savard beside him for his first couple of seasons is only going to benefit Hudson and the Habs.
