I couldn’t stand Jack the last few years he was in Buffalo. I think he has matured and I think he has landed in a better situation where he can play a (very important) role, but doesn’t have to carry the team in his shoulders. It is also glaringly apparent that Buffalo was a hockey wasteland and owners/management absolutely squandered every drop of talent that laced up skates.

He wasn’t any kind of leader when he was here, which is fine because he was a kid, but they expected real leadership out of him. They set him up for failure.
