panthers aren't that good, bruins essentially let them win division so they could play your loser leafs. remember bruins were dominating panthers in playoffs last year without kreiji and bergeron and goalie ullmark got hurt and was horrendus in game 6 6-5 loss last year. bruins also dominated panthers this year winning 4 games against them. don't trash on bruins saying they aren't that good or you team is better. the bruins set all time records for wins and points in a season last year with mostly the same team they have now, they also have tons of experience in playoffs. and they have 2 of the best goalies in hockey

Two problems in Toronto – #1 – EVERYONE drinks the Kool-Aid spewed by the so-called 'national media' there. Case in point, Mr. Chris Cuthbert espousing 'that's Matthews 70th goal of the year'. NO, it's NOT, it's his FIRST goal of the playoffs. The rest of Canada threw up in their mouths when he said that (I was actually embarrassed for him and Leaf fans when he said that). #2 – and we've all been saying it for years now, especially Leaf fans – too many eggs (read salary money) in too few baskets. Paying Matthews what they did was R-I-D-I-C-U-L-O-U-S – what exactly has he done to earn that 15m a year? I went after a tweet from Natasha S a few years ago when she tweeted something about 'who would you rather have, Draisaitl or Matthews' and of course she was all about Matthews. My response was easy – Drai, and not even close. 8.5M a year, and he's wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy better in the playoffs than anything I've ever seen Matthews do on his best day – on ONE leg! We'll have to pay him I know, but at least Drai EARNS his money. Matthews is a great goal scorer, but a terrible hockey player and he proves it every time the going gets tough, he disappears

Injuries is a poor excuse as every team players play with injuries. Just wait after the Cup you hear about horrific injuries some of these players play with. These guys don't have the chemistry or will to go the extra mile. Just collecting a pacheck. Play great regular season to justify pay. Don't care past that.

Being a Leaf fan is like being in an abusive relationship. You really want it to work but deep down you know you should leave. How many times are the fans going to be put through this? The answer is, forever, because Leafs management knows that come next season all will be forgotten, not to mention that butts in the seats is guaranteed always. This team is a corporate problem because the suits are the only ones that can afford the ticket prices. The real fans are outside, not inside. That's not to say that the seats wouldn't be sold out if seasons tickets didn't exist and prices were such that lesser mortals could buy them, but maybe, just maybe, enough people would be disgusted enough to not fill every seat. A clear and monetary sign to management. That's not gonna happen so all I can do to end the suffering is say enough and end the relationship. I saw the Leafs win their last Stanley Cup in 1967. That'll have to do.

I’m a BIG NY Islanders fan. Watching the leafs and the implosion of JT and company is not surprising. JT showed no character when he left here and we remember. Sports does not build character. It reveals it. So your core 4 Captain JT does not seem to have any character. We Islanders fans recognize that in a big way. We take pleasure in the leafs losing because of it. I disagree on Tavares playing bad. He has been their best forward by far. The problem is playing Mathews with two fourth line scrubs and expecting him to score. One awesome line is all you need to win, load up at home, use the last change to get your matchups. But, I guess that takes coaching.
