  1. can these media people be any less intelligent. The questions are ridiculous. If i was tochet i would be pulling a tortorella on them. These people need to go back to school and get an education Dumb

  2. I feel like Rick Tochet makes every other NHL hockey player, coach, etc look bad when it comes to how he deals with the media. His sense of empathy and humanity genuinely shines through, there's no question (that I've seen) that he doesn't answer with integrity. No answer seems cookie cutter, no cliches (other than a few "tochet-isms). The guy at least ACTS like he genuinely wants to answer those questions, answer our questions.

In another world, where Rick Tochet never got into hockey, he could have been a solid Press Secretary. His PR skills are insane and natural.

  3. But is okay for the Canucks to board a Preds defenceman and take him out of the game and no fine that Iā€™m aware of. He retuned for one shift and was out after that. Should have stayed a 5 minute major. Preds probably donā€™t score anyway šŸ˜‚, but that boarding looked bad and to take it from a 5 to 2 minutes is unexplainable.

  4. Toc is a genius I swear. Haven't seen a coach be able to answer questions from the media so honestly but vaguely while at the same time slipping in constructive criticism and encouraging the boys. Also I think having Gonch, Foote, Henrik and Daniel getting these guys to believe in themselves this year has been tremendous. Go out there and make history fellas!

  5. Glovey, I have LOVED the way you've added on game clips to the Tocchet interviews! I can tell you've chosen the clips thoughtfully as well, and that makes it so much more compelling to watch!

  6. Tocchet is the man. Favourite Canucks coach in my lifetime, right up there with Alain Vigneault.
