Reviewing Jets vs Avalanche Game Four

Well, the Jets need to work on a miracle to avoid being out in 5 games after what we saw from the Avs today.

  1. Minor point, but can't let it be overlooked – Nuke didn't bury a rebound, it was a sick pass from Lehky. Lehky has been huge.

  2. I know they haven’t lost Game 5 yet, but it really feels like the Jets love winning game 1’s and then losing the next 4.

  3. Going into this series, Georgiev was the biggest question mark for the Avs. Question mark no longer. The Jets look completely lost. Except for Game 1, the Jets have had no answer to the firepower of the Avs.

  4. The Avalanche were all over Hellebuyck in this game. ugg… Canucks are going to ruin my bracket. Nashville snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Nashville lacks the Mortal Kombat mentality,…"Finish him!"

  5. I'm curious how much your jersey collection is worth… its pretty amazing.
I think bowness is going to lose his job this off-season personally. This series will probably end in game 5.. I had a feeling game 1 was an anomaly. The jets can't keep up here. Alot like the Winnipeg series with Vegas last year.

  6. Vegas will give Colorado all they can handle, that'll be a high scoring series. Yes Vegas ( the new look Vegas) will get past the talented Stars.

  7. Ya know what would be great, if the NHL could just put a damn tracker in the puck so we could see it via a software and won't need to do these long offside reviews and even goal reviews if it's under a goalies pad. Why is this not in the game yet we have the technology it would make everything so much easier to review.

  8. Let's accept the reality here: The Jets lived off of bottom feeders all season now they are fighting for something to eat. Nice

  9. I don't know about their logo in Colorado ? A triangle with a Chicago Cubs C ?😮 But they are playing great hockey.

  10. The Jets should've been blown up after last year's exit. More of the same and they're washed. Not sure why Chevy thought the team could hang with their peers. I was actually surprised about them ending the year that high in the standings. The Jets are washed.

  11. As a sports gambler, this series is frustrating. Jets win 3/3 games between these two teams this year, crushes them in the last game by what, 7-1? Best goalie in the league, vs a relatively weak goalie. Decent scoring between their top two lines, decent defence. Then this happens come the playoffs. Some teams are just clutch in the playoffs I guess, and others choke. Jets and Leaf’s are playoff choke teams, Colorado and Vegas are more clutch.

  12. Couple things I wanna say:
    1. I won’t give up hope until we have lost 4.
    2. Start brossoit for at least the first period of next game.
    3. Why TF did ajf play today?
    4. I really hope namestnikov is okay he has been working his ass off all year.
    5. I mean no disrespect to Colorado but I think whichever team comes out of this series gets eliminated in round 2.
    GG AVS see y’all Tuesday.

  13. After game 1, I thought the Jets had a good chance of beating the Avalanche. After game 2, I started to have doubts because the score was lop-sided in favour of the Avalanche. Games 3 and 4 convinced me the Avalanche was the better team and that the Jets are done. In Game 5, I will just be watching the Jets get eliminated.

  14. Hellebuyck will eventually win the Vezina but he’s turning into Chicago type Luongo goaltending performance. Guy isn’t a playoff performer, also Ehelrs is ass come playoff time too.

  15. Jets have hardly seen any daylight against the Avs this series – they have been outshot in all but 2 periods, the third period tonight and in game 2, both of which the Avs entered with a 3 goal lead. If it wasn't for the woeful goaltending and defensive mishaps in Game 1, this series would already be over. It all comes as a big surprise since the Avs looked very pedestrian down the stretch and the Jets seemed like a really solid team.

  16. Now those were a couple of the best home games in recent memory! Makar going coast to coast and The Choo Choo Train got his 1st Hatty and the Avs are showing who is boss!
    #GoAvsGo

  17. Hellebuyck needs to stop a puck. It's certainly not all on him. Way too many PP goals for Colorado but he certainly needs to up his game or this series is over.

  18. What went wrong with the Jets? They just could not handle the speed of the Avalanche. Towards the 2nd and 3rd periods of each game except game 1, the Jets seemed to run out of steam. The Jets need to work on a lot of things – on their speed, puck possession, effective cycling of the puck through the neutral zone, effective forechecking – they seemed to do this well in game 1 but I noticed they stopped doing that in games 2, 3 and 4. The Jets also need to work more on blocking shots and intercepting passes. They also took many needless penalties which you cannot do against a fast team like the Avalanche. There was also too much reliance by the Jets on goalie Connor Helybchuk. I felt the Jets should not have used him after Game 3 and switched goalies for Game 4. Helybchuk should have also stayed in his goal, rather than retrieving the puck – this behaviour cost the Jets in game 3. Lastly, some of the lines should have been juggled up. Many of even the best Jets players like Mark Schiefele and Adam Lowry mishandled the puck passing it sometimes to Avalanche players, instead of other Jet players.

  19. I think it's just bad luck for the Jets. Running into Vegas in rd. 1 last year, now running into Colorado this year. Both teams have won Stanley Cups in the past 3 years

  20. I think the Colorado Avalanche if they play as good as they played this series, are good candidates for winning the Stanley Cup this year. They look the sharpest and fastest of all the teams in the playoffs so far. I am curious how they will match up with the Vegas Golden Knights, last year's Stanley Cup champions. It should be very interesting.
