he's doing nothing for half a season. he's not what we thought he was and if he fights his way through this…then when will he fall apart again because this isnt the first or second time already in his short career. time to cut loose and make a trade while everyone else in the NHL thinks hes amazing
Having watched the games, these guys are out of their tree. Nashville has keyed on Pettersson and keyed on Hughes. They've keyed on Pettersson harder cause honestly keying on Hughes hasn't helped limit the Canucks offense or even slow him down as much as they'd like. Hughes seems to have Oshie style little man syndrome, what I mean by that is if you physically challenge him, you just kinda work him up and he won't alter his gameplan any in a way that'll help you, and he certainly doesn't lose the battle easily if he loses it at all.
What we are seeing from Pettersson is that smashville has gotten to him more than Hughes. Now not necessarily confidence so much as he can't seem to work out how to alter his game around what smashville is doing, which is giving him no time, no space, no room to breathe.
